Prentice shortlisted to be top apprentice

Lachlan

Paul Nunn (Retail Director) and Lachlan Prentice

Lachlan Prentice, remember the name!

Lachlan is one of ETB’s most talented apprentices and he can claim to be one of the best in the UK, after becoming just one of 16 to be shortlisted to win a prestigious industry award.

The 19-year-old is currently impressing customers at ETB Malvern and is in the final year of his apprenticeship to gain his IMI Level 3 Maintenance Technician qualification.

And in a boost for the Droitwich Spa youngster’s confidence, he was shortlisted to win the NTDA’s Technician of the Year award ahead of hundreds of entries in October.

Lachlan

Already, Lachlan completes the following tasks:

  • Wheel and tyre fitting
  • Tyre racking
  • Housekeeping
  • Reception / answering phone
  • Invoicing
  • Basic servicing
  • Basic brake repair work (overseen by colleagues where applicable)
  • Basic suspension work

ETB Malvern’s centre manager Peter Fairhurst said: “For someone who has been for a year-and-a-half, he does so much work that belies his age. He is extremely mature, professional and one of the very best we have ever worked with.”
