Andy Thomas – ETB Malvern
With the football season kicking off and the transfer window slamming shut, we’ve got a big transfer of our own to announce – which will see a local favourite return to his local ETB depot.
Andy Thomas, has returned to ETB Malvern as depot manager following two years as depot manager at ETB Worcester Farrier Street.
The 49-year-old is happy to be working in Malvern, following a few years away from the depot.
“I’ve actually been between Malvern and Worcester Farrier Street for years and it’s great to come back here as Depot Manager.
“I’ve got an affinity with the local area and the people – especially as a local lad myself!”
Andy started work with ETB as a fresh-faced 23-year-old at the Spring Lane South site and spend two decades working in Malvern, until a 12-month stint at Worcester Farrier Street.
A three year return to Malvern then followed before being appointed the manager at Worcester Farrier Street.
Now after two and a half years in the role there, Andy returns to Malvern with a strong reputation and a recognisable face amongst regulars.
All this without a sight of Jim White’s Yellow tie!
Andy added: “I do love working in Malvern and I’m glad to be back here! I can’t wait to see some of the old faces.”
